Day 1: Arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Begin your journey with a private transfer or a scheduled charter flight from Entebbe International Airport to the Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. A scenic flight over Uganda’s lush landscapes offers breathtaking views of the Virunga volcanoes, crater lakes, and terraced hills. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your selected luxury lodge in Bwindi, where you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome, a refreshing drink, and a brief orientation about the trekking experience ahead.

The afternoon is yours to relax and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forest. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early wake-up and hearty breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You’ll be placed in a small group of trekkers and assigned a specific gorilla family to visit. Led by expert guides and trackers, your trek through the dense forest can take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours, depending on the gorilla group’s location. The trail may be steep and muddy, but the reward is incomparable a precious hour spent observing one of the most intelligent and majestic creatures on Earth.

You’ll watch gorillas groom, feed, and interact with each other in their natural environment, often just meters away. This raw and emotional encounter is deeply moving and regarded as one of the greatest wildlife experiences in the world.

After the activity, you’ll be transferred back to Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe, or begin your scenic drive through the countryside if traveling overland. Depending on your schedule, optional add-ons include a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi for lunch or an overnight stay at a luxury lake resort before departure.
